Job Description For Software Development Engineer

Genpact is seeking a Software Development Engineer with expertise in Salesforce Development to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in implementing and enhancing functionality in the GRADE application and addressing existing product issues. This role requires a deep understanding of requirements, the ability to propose designs, and the skills to implement new features. The candidate should be comfortable working with both new and existing codebases, handling data models, workflows, and rules. Familiarity with leasing and lending concepts, practices, and procedures is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Assist business stakeholders in the design, functional implementation, and support of Salesforce Applications.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the overall Salesforce architecture and platform.
Show expertise in Lightning Aura Framework, Apex development.
Utilize experience in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies for Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Understand the client’s business pain points and provide solutions using the Salesforce.com platform and offerings.
Design workflow rules and process builders to enforce business processes effectively.
Showcase strong interpersonal skills and contribute to team efforts.
Stay updated with technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.

Qualification Required For Software Development Engineer

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and coding.
Knowledge of Salesforce Development/Customizations, Lightning Components (APEX, AURA, Visual Force, Batch).
Good understanding of the Salesforce development life cycle.
Basic knowledge of software development and hands-on experience

Preferred qualifications

Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
Understanding of SCRUM or other agile methodologies.
